Our physiotherapists specialize in treating pain and injury to facilitate your recovery and restore optimal health and wellness. We schedule fewer clients per hour than many physical therapy clinics, allowing for more time to be spent with each client. Customized treatment is provided with the complete focus on making you better and helping you understand your condition. Our passion is your wellbeing.

LAURA JONES

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Laura was born and raised on a farm in rural northern Saskatchewan. Laura graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Laura is continuing her post-graduate education as she is currently working through her Level 2 Orthopedic Manual Therapy. She is also currently working toward her certification in Trigger Point Dry Needling. Laura is trained in Peripheral Joint Manipulation, has completed a soft tissue mobilization course through Charles Kelly and has completed her Part A McKenzie certification through the Robin Mackenzie Institute of Canada.

As a therapist, Laura believes in a personalized and hands-on approach to therapy. Laura’s emphasis on education, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and proper technique helps clients reach full recovery through increased body awareness and knowledge of their injury. She believes that each client is unique therefore rehabilitation programs are designed to fit the individual's lifestyle and personal goals. Laura enjoys working with a wide variety of clients and is passionate about assisting people in reaching their maximum potential in sports, work or play.

Prior to becoming a therapist, Laura was involved with the Edmonton Wildcat’s Football club where she was a trainer. Laura played competitive hockey growing up and traveled to the Czech Republic to compete internationally.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys swimming, cycling, quading, snowmobiling, fishing and camping.

TRAVIS JONES

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

The complexity of the human body has always interested Travis and is what led to his career in physiotherapy. He obtained his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta after earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Travis has pursued post-graduate education in Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy and is trained in Vestibular Rehabilitaion, Spinal and Peripheral Joint Manipulation and Trigger Point Dry Needling. He has also completed training in running assessment and injury prevention and is passionate about helping athletes remain injury free in their sport.

Travis treats a variety of conditions including acute and chronic orthopedic injuries and has an interest in helping people with dizziness/vertigo. His approach to treatment includes hands-on manual therapy, exercise prescription and education to maximize his client’s rehabilitation. He ensures that he considers his client’s lifestyle, needs and goals when creating a treatment plan.  Travis enjoys the opportunity to be involved in people’s lives and assist them in healing and returning to full function.

Travis grew up farming in a small southern Alberta town where he played competitive hockey and football. He values staying active and healthy and competes in half-ironman and Olympic distance triathlons. He is an avid runner and snowboarder and loves any outdoor activity. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Sylvan Lake.

REBECCA KUKOWSKI

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Becky graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree. She then completed a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta in 2015. She has completed post-graduate courses in K-Taping, Level 2 Orthopedic Manual Therapy, and Functional Dry Needling.

She believes that physical activity is an important part of everyday life, and she enjoys helping individuals get back to their normal routine. She treats patients of all ages with an individualized, hands-on approach.

Becky loves to spend time with family and friends. She stays active by playing basketball, working out, swimming, and biking. She also enjoys the great outdoors, and spends most of her summer dirt biking and camping.

AMY CAINES

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Amy is a registered massage therapist that completed her 2200 hour program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2003. Amy moved to Sylvan Lake from Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2012 with her husband and two children. Amy is committed to helping our community grow and improve overall quality of life.  She is experienced with deep tissue, therapeutic, chronic, pre/post natal, children/adolescent and relaxation massage.

Outside of work Amy enjoys camping, fishing, hiking and cheering her children on with various sports!
